The Logroño City Marathon features a fast and highly accessible urban course, ideal both for runners chasing a personal best and for those tackling the marathon distance for the first time. The route combines long straights, wide avenues and an almost completely flat profile that makes it easy to maintain a steady pace throughout most of the race.

One of the highlights of the course is the sections near the Ebro River and the city’s green areas, adding visual variety without interrupting race rhythm. The layout avoids major elevation changes and includes only a few gentle inclines, making it one of the most comfortable marathons in northern Spain.

Throughout the race, runners pass through several of Logroño’s main avenues and neighborhoods, alternating urban sectors with open stretches perfect for smooth and efficient running. The course minimizes tight turns and technical sections, helping runners maintain a comfortable and consistent stride in both the marathon and half marathon distances.

The final kilometers head back towards central Logroño on a quick and favorable section that encourages runners to push the pace before the finish line. Where and when to collect race bibs Maratón Internacional Ciudad de Logroño 2026

The bib number collection schedule and location are as follows:

Friday, October 2, 2026: From 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Ferrer Sport Center, located at Calle 7 Infantes de Lara 19, at the Runner's Fair, located at Ferrer Sport Center, Calle 7 Infantes de Lara 19.

Saturday, October 3, 2026: From 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Runner's Fair, located at Ferrer Sport Center, Calle 7 Infantes de Lara 19.

Sunday, October 4, 2026: From 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at the Espolón promenade for those registered for the 21k and 42k races and for those registered for the The 10k race will be available at a designated area at the 10k start line, located at the roundabout between Avenida de Lobete and Obispo Fidel García. To avoid queues and unnecessary problems, all athletes are advised to collect their race bibs in the days leading up to the race. To collect them, you will need to show your ID. Race bibs must be worn clearly and visibly on the front of your torso throughout the entire race.

Important: Marathon runners will be given two bibs.One with the timing chip must be worn on the front, and the other on the back.It is mandatory for all marathon runners to wear both bibs visibly throughout the entire race.

Additional information about the Maratón Internacional Ciudad de Logroño 2026

  • The race (marathon and half marathon) starts at 9:00 a.m. from the Paseo del Espolón in Logroño and finishes again on the Paseo del Espolón. The 10K will start from a different location than the other two distances (42K and 21K) and will also start at 9:00 a.m. at the roundabout located between Avenida de Lobete and Obispo Fidel García.
  • The time limit to finish the marathon is 5 hours.
  • There will be trophies for the top three overall finishers in all categories.
  • There will be a medical service at the Start/Finish line, consisting of a large Red Cross team and several other vehicles strategically positioned along the course, including two Red Cross bicycles that will be continuously patrolling the circuit in case of any emergency.
  • The organizers will provide runners with 17 aid stations along the marathon course, and a large recovery area at the finish line.This means that after the 5km mark, runners will have access to aid stations every 2.5km.
  • The 42K and 21K bag drop will be located in the Start / Finish area(at the spur's shell). Each runner can leave a small backpack with the tag we will provide, which will be labeled with their race number for quick and easy collection. Participants are kindly requested to arrive well in advance to drop off their bags at the bag drop to avoid problems and overcrowding. We also kindly request that, if possible, you drop off your clothes at the bag drop before 8:00 a.m.
