The 43rd Cursa Plaça de la Farga is a popular community race held at Plaça de la Farga in Barcelona, in the Sants-Montjuïc district. With more than four decades of history, the event brings together runners of different ages for a sporting, festive and community-focused day.
The main event features a 2-kilometre course consisting of two laps of the same circuit and is not timed, making it suitable both for people starting out in running and for those simply looking to enjoy a community race. The programme also includes the Yayo Run for participants over 65 and children's races over 300 and 600 metres.
The Cursa Plaça de la Farga is much more than a running race, combining sport and community participation with a strong festive and charitable spirit. Proceeds support the Plaça la Farga Festival Committee and help provide a free afternoon snack and dance event for older people. Taking part is an opportunity to enjoy running in Barcelona while sharing a morning of sport, community and solidarity.
