The route of the 47th Marxa Trail d'Arenys de Mar is an 11-kilometre mountain race that starts and finishes at Plaça de la Sardana, next to Parc de Lourdes in Arenys de Mar. From there, the course quickly heads into the natural area between Arenys de Mar and Arenys de Munt, leaving asphalt behind for most of the way.

Around 75% of the route runs along mountain trails and paths, with roughly 230 metres of accumulated elevation gain that calls for fresh legs and good footing on the more uneven sections. It isn't an extreme distance, but the terrain and climbing make it a demanding race despite covering only 11 km.
