What is the route of the Cursa dels Nassos

The route of the Cursa dels Nassos, Barcelona's classic New Year's Eve race, starts and finishes on Carrer de Selva de Mar, level with Plaça Ramon Calsina, right by the sea. The opening stretch runs alongside Passeig de Garcia Faria and Passeig Calvell, with the Mediterranean always in view, before turning inland along Carrer de la Llacuna.

The middle section heads into the Vila Olímpica neighbourhood, passing Carrer de Salvador Espriu and Plaça dels Voluntaris, then towards Ciutat Vella along Carrer del Dr. Aiguader up to Plaça de Pau Vila and Pla de Palau, close to Port Vell.

From there the course joins Passeig de Picasso, where runners make a 180º turn before heading back towards the beach along Passeig de Circumval·lació, Avinguda Icària and the streets of la Marina and Llull. The final stretch runs along Avinguda Diagonal, right by the sea, back to Carrer de Selva de Mar and the finish line.

It's a completely flat, fast circuit — ideal both for closing out the year running in a great atmosphere and for chasing a strong 10K time, with the first start late in the afternoon of December 31st.
