What is the route of the Copenhagen Marathon 2027
The marathon starts at the Islands Brygge harbourfront, which also hosts the finish. Runners set off in several waves organised by colour-coded blocks based on expected finish time, with the gun going off at 9:30 AM.
Around kilometre 10, the course heads into the historic canals of Christianshavn and crosses Copenhagen's harbour via the Knippelsbro and Langebro bridges, offering some of the finest views on the whole route.
The route continues through the lively, multicultural district of Nørrebro, crossing Queen Louise's Bridge — one of the loudest spectator zones on the course — before passing landmarks such as Nyhavn, Kongens Nytorv, the Royal Danish Theatre, Amalienborg Palace and the Marble Church.
The final kilometres run through the historic yellow houses of Nyboder before returning to the Islands Brygge harbourfront to cross the finish line. The cut-off time to finish is 6 hours net, with an intermediate 3-hour cut-off at the half-marathon point.
